The GreenLeaf Inn

Greenleaf Inn

Nestled on a knoll overlooking Boothbay Harbor sits the Greenleaf Inn, a jewel in the crown of this charming, active fishing town. The long wraparound front porch with wicker furniture and tables for taking meals or playing games, invites you to look out over the harbor at lobster boats as well as pleasure craft and relax. Enjoy a world set apart from everyday cares. Every room offers a stunning view of the harbor. The Greenleaf Inn is located on the corner of Commercial St. and Greenleaf Lane named for an early selectman of the town. The inn was built as a sea captain's home in 1849, during the time when lob-stering, fishing, and shipbuilding were the primary industries on this peninsula. Today, lobstering and shipbuilding remain important to the economy of the area. The house later served as a boarding home for sailors whose ships were berthed in the harbor. It has been continuously occupied and always kept in shipshape.
